Scrambled eggs are a great meal any time of the day and they are super easy to make.
So, my son is cooking his first breakfast tomorrow morning and has decided on scrambled eggs. Just so happens that I had already taken the pictures for this post because I figured he’d want to know how to make these!
Here’s what you’ll need: 4 eggs, 1 tab (1/4 inch slice) of butter, salt and pepper, a bowl, a fork, and a frying pan.
The first step is to crack 2-4 eggs into a bowl and add some salt and pepper, like this:
Next, heat the pan on medium-low heat. Add the butter and let it melt. If it starts sizzling really fast, turn the heat down a little bit or the butter will burn. Scrambled eggs should be cooked low and slow until perfectly soft. If you cook them fast in brown butter, they will end up tough…still edible, for sure, but not the silky bites of perfection you could have if you just slow it down a little. The pan will be ready for the eggs when it looks like this:
Now, take a fork and break the yolks, and whisk them together until they are blended.
Pour the eggs into the pan and wait…
Allow the eggs to set just a little before you touch them.
When they look like this, you can start to stir them around in the pan.
Keep stirring the eggs until they look set, but not brown. Unless you like them a little on the dryer side, which is totally up to you!
And there you have it! You can stop right here and eat. Or…
You could add some ham or anything else that sounds good to you. And if you need to eat on the run, you can fold them into a tortilla, add some cheese and be on your way. I hope these instructions are helpful to you and that you enjoy your breakfast!! Have a great day!
