Hi, I’m Seanna.
I am the wife of a really great guy named Russ and together we have two awesome teenagers, Will and Hannah. They are my heart and soul; the very best part of my life.
Food is Love in our home…and this blog is our place to share with others our favorite recipes and ideas for creating a sense of home through food, wherever you are.
If you’re looking for a great new recipe, or the answer to the question, “What in the world should I make for dinner?”, I hope you’ll find something appetizing here, along with some clear, concise instructions on how to make it.
Food is love in our Kitchen…and we hope that it is in yours as well.
Good food…made with love…for the people you love…
Now, that’s a great recipe!
Why a blog?…(Extended Version)
For our Kids:
Record of Favorite Recipes:
I recently had the dramatic revelation (meaning tears involved) that my kids are going to be leaving soon for college…To be honest, I just wanted to somehow slow life down. I kept feeling like I wanted to encapsulate our life together in one place…a place where they could come to online from wherever their adventures take them and feel a sense of home.
Food is Love in our home…
Food is an expression of how we care for one another and have created the sense of home that we enjoy together. So much of our life together happens in our kitchen…the good, the bad, and the ugly. And so much of it centers around the food we eat: the requests for a favorite recipe, a new creation, various diet restrictions, cravings, the list goes on. Hopefully, I give them something delicious…sometimes though, my efforts result in epic fails…even those are memorable!
For our Family and Friends:
This blog is also intended to be a way of drawing closer to our family and friends who are separated by distance.
Here, we hope you will find all the recipes you have asked me for over the years that I have been hesitant to share. Well, here you have it… With the exception of the salsa…Russ holds that one in reserve. Sorry, guys…
We also hope that you will see threads of yourselves woven throughout…in recipes and techniques that you have shared with us. We love you guys…
We’d also like this blog to be a place where Foodies from all over can come to find good recipes and maybe a bit of encouragement in their efforts to create a sense of home for the people they love.
| “A thousand strands of time, events, and people weave into a tapestry we call place. More than just a house, place is where meaning, belonging, and safety come together under the covering of our best efforts at unconditional love. Place beckons us with memories buried deep in our souls. Even when our place isn’t perfect, its hold on us is dramatic, magnetic.” |

May Food be love in your home, too!
