Easy Guacamole Recipe made with 3 simple ingredients along with a Tasty Tip to keep your guacamole from turning brown!

This it the best guacamole recipe we've found! It is super tasty with just the right amount of spice! Creamy and delicious, Wow! It's so good! It's our family's go-to recipe for Perfect Guacamole every time!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Salsa
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Scoop Avocado into Bowl.. Slice the Avocado in half length-wise, remove pit, and scoop out avocado with a tablespoon into a medium sized bowl.
  2. Add Salsa and Salt.  Add 1 Tablespoon Hot Salsa and Sprinkle in 1/2 Teaspoon Salt.
  3. Mash Together and Adjust Seasonings.  Mash it all together until smooth with a fork or masher.  Do a taste test and adjust seasonings.  Need more heat?  Add more Salsa.  And don't skimp on the Salt or you'll have bland tasting guac!
  4. Enjoy!  Serve with Tortilla Chips.

Ripe Avocado Look for an avocado that is greenish black. When you hold it in the palm of your hand, it should feel heavy and have a little give when you gently squeeze it.

Hot Salsa - Go with your favorite here! The hotter the better!

Salt - Don't skimp on the salt! Salt brings out the flavor.

Tasty Tip:  Do a taste test and adjust your seasonings as necessary.  Guacamole should be tasty!  If it's bland, but you can taste the heat from the salsa, add more salt.  If you need more heat, add more salsa.  If you're uncertain, just try adding a little more of both.

Make Ahead Secret:  Keep your guacamole from turning brown for up to 2 days by storing it in an air tight container with a 1/4 inch layer of neutral oil covering the top.  Cover it with a tight fitting lid, being careful to squish out any visible air bubbles.  See our Make Ahead Secret for Guacamole post for more details.
