Fry the Bacon. Fry bacon bits until crisp. Remove and place them on a plate lined with paper towel to drain. Set aside. Optional: drain some of the bacon grease.

Sauté Vegetables. Sauté onion, carrots, and celery in the bacon fat over medium heat. Season with salt and sauté until tender.
