Dump Peaches. Pour one can of sliced peaches with heavy syrup into the bottom of an rectangular baking dish.

Cake Mix. Spread one box of yellow cake mix on top of the layer of peaches. Be careful spread out the cake mix so that it evenly covers the peaches.

Cover with Butter. Cut the sticks of butter into thin pieces and layer the pieces of butter evenly over the cake mix layer.

Bake. Place the baking dish into the oven and bake at 350° for 45 minutes until the top is beautiful golden brown in color and the syrupy peaches are bubbling up along the sides of the baking dish.

Serving Suggestions: This delicious treat is best served while the peaches are warm and syrupy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Yum!Variation: Add pineapple to the peaches. Or try swapping out the sliced peaches for a can of cherries and a can of crushed pineapple. Twice the fruit and oh so delicious!

Go the extra mile and level up this easy recipe with a few extra ingredients and steps.
Add Frozen or Fresh Peaches. Add an additional 16-20 ounce bag of frozen peeled and sliced peaches or use peak of season fresh peaches. Mix them together with the canned peaches.
Make A Sugar Mixture. Frozen or fresh peaches will require some sugar to create a syrupy consistency. Mix together ½ cup granulated, white sugar + ½ cup light brown sugar + 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon + ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
Mix Peaches and Sugar Mixture. Pour the sugar mixture over the peaches and mix together to combine.
Make A Quick Streusel Topping. This extra step will ensure that the butter mixes in so that the top bakes evenly. Slice 2 sticks of cold, salted butter into cubes. Put the cake mix in a food processor and add two sticks of cold, cubed butter on top. Close the lid and pulse to combine. The streusel topping is ready when it looks the size of peas or coarse sand.
Spread Streusel Topping. Spread the streusel topping out so that the peaches are completely covered.
Bake. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
Note:Frozen peaches will take longer to bake. Bake frozen peaches for about 70-75 minutes.
