Meet Seanna

Hi, I'm Seanna Borrows - the home cook, recipe developer, food photographer, and friendly voice behind Seanna's Kitchen.
What began as a family project in 2015 has grown into a trusted online resource for tested recipes, step-by-step cooking guides, and approachable baking tips loved by home cooks across the Midwest and beyond.
I'm also a wife and proud mom - my family has always been at the heart of my purpose and my cooking. They're the reason I believe so deeply that food is love, and that gathering around the table can build connection and belonging that lasts a lifetime - because cooking is community.
✨ At Seanna's Kitchen, you'll find tested recipes and real-life cooking and baking tips - trusted by home cooks across the Midwest and beyond.
Our Philosophy
At Seanna's Kitchen, we believe that Food is Love.
Our mission is to help home cooks feel confident and connected through food - bridging the gap between nostalgic comfort food and approachable everyday cooking. Every recipe is thoroughly tested for clarity, timing, and reliability so you can cook with confidence and joy.
A Little More About Me
I was born in Wisconsin and spent much of my life in Chicago before settling near Detroit with my husband, Russ - who helps behind the scenes at Seanna's Kitchen - and our close-knit extended family. My cooking has always stayed true to my Midwestern roots, shaped by generations of amazing home cooks.
My love for cooking began with afternoons in the kitchen beside my mom, and many recipes here still come from her hand-written recipe cards. I love sharing those flavors and memories with my family and with you - simple, generous dishes made with love.
I hope Seanna's Kitchen helps you experience that same "Food is Love" feeling that fills our home.
My Work

My work has been featured in Tasting Table, PureWow, Yahoo!, MSN, Foodgawker, and Bloglovin'. I've also partnered with premium brands such as Zwilling / Staub, Perdue Farms, Made In, and Old Amsterdam - creating recipes, photography, and video content that connect products to home cooks in authentic, meaningful ways.
If you're a brand or media outlet interested in collaborating, please reach out at seanna@seannaskitchen.com.
Our Purpose
At Seanna's Kitchen, everything starts with a simple truth: Food is love.
I believe home cooking has the power to bring people together - to create comfort, connection, and belonging around the table. My purpose is to help home cooks feel confident and capable through tested, approachable recipes that remind us what matters most: caring for the people we love.
Looking ahead, my mission is to share that same spirit of hospitality beyond the kitchen - one day feeding others in need through a community food bank supported by Seanna's Kitchen.
