The Secret To This Recipe
Secret to this Recipe is... to use a food processor to get the job done fast. But a large ziplock bag and a rolling pin will also do the trick, if you need a little stress release!
Here's What You Need

- Oreo cookies - Substitution: Double Stuf Oreos.
- cream cheese - Room temperature.
- white chocolate - We recommend using chips, as they are easier to melt.
Substitution: You may substitute any other good quality chocolate like almond bark, dark, semi-sweet, milk, or sweet milk chocolate.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
Toppings for Oreo Balls
- sprinkles - use colors for the special occasion or theme, like holiday, game day, school colors, or your favorite colors.
- crushed Oreos (without white centers)
- cocoa powder
- powdered sugar
- crushed nuts - peanuts, cashews, pistachios, walnuts

How To Make No Bake Oreo Balls

STEP 1. Combine. In a food processor (see pro tip below), pulse together 1 package of Oreo cookies and 8 ounces of cream cheese at 1 second intervals.

STEP 2. Form Balls. Take small amounts of dough out using a small cookie scoop. Roll the dough around in your hands to form bite size balls. Place them on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper, or wax paper.

STEP 3. Freeze Balls. Place formed balls on the lined baking sheet into the freezer for 10 minutes.

STEP 4. Melt Chocolate. Melt the chips in the microwave. Stirring at 30 second increments until it is melted.

STEP 5. Cover with Melted Chocolate and Sprinkles. Take the small balls out of the freezer. Using a candy dipping tool, dip and cover each ball with white chocolate. Then place the covered Oreo ball back on the parchment paper.
Sprinkle with colored sugar immediately, before the candy coating sets.

STEP 6. Freeze and Serve. Place back in the freezer for 10 minutes and serve!
Recipe Tips
No food processor? No problem.
If you don’t have a food processor, a large zip-top bag and a rolling pin work just fine! Place the Oreos in the bag, seal it tightly with as little air as possible, then use the rolling pin to crush them into fine crumbs. A little arm workout, but it gets the job done.
Melting chocolate without a microwave.
No microwave? No worries. You can melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Simply place the chocolate chips in a small heatproof bowl (like aluminum or glass) and set it over a pot of simmering water. Stir continuously, scraping down the sides, until smooth and glossy.
Perfectly dipped truffles.
For easy dipping and a professional finish, we recommend using a candy dipping tool (affiliate link). The spiral tip holds the Oreo ball securely and leaves a cute little swirl imprint on top.
Place the Oreo ball on the tool, dip it into the melted chocolate, and use a spoon to drizzle chocolate over the top. Gently transfer it to parchment paper and roll it off the tool to release—voilà!

Recipe FAQ's
This can be tricky, as the Oreo balls can break apart and discolor the white chocolate. So, make sure the balls are cold and use a candy dipping tool to dip one ball at a time into the melted white chocolate, allowing the excess to drip back into the bowl.
Yes. Because they contain cream cheese, Oreo balls need to be stored in the refrigerator or in the freezer to keep them fresh.
Extreme temperatures will cause the chocolate coating to crack. So, make sure the balls are not frozen or too cold and the chocolate is not too hot when you cover them with the melted chocolate.
Freezing and Storage
Store the Oreo Cookie Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator or in the freezer. They are the perfect treat to pop in your mouth straight out of the freezer.

Andie says
I am having a hard time finding white chocolate. Where can I find it or is there something I can use as a substitute?
Seanna Borrows says
Hey Andie. You should be able to find white chocolate in the baking or candy aisle near the chocolate chips at your local grocery store. If you can't find any, you can always substitute milk chocolate or dark chocolate.
