    White Queso Dip Recipe

    You need just a few simple ingredients to make this cheesy party dip. We like to keep them on hand for that last minute appetizer win.

    • 9 slices Pepper Jack Cheese - 9 ounces
    • 6 slices White American Cheese - 6 ounces
    • 1 tablespoon Salted Butter
    • 4 oz Cream Cheese
    • 4 oz Half & Half

    Pepper Jack Cheese - Buy sliced cheese and cut it up into cubes. It'll melt quickly. Pepper Jack adds just the right amount of spice for a mild queso.

    White American Cheese - You'll usually find this at the deli counter at the grocery store.

    Half & Half - May substitute heavy cream or whole milk.

    Cheesy White Queso Instructions

    This Easy White Queso Recipe takes just a few minutes to make in a microwave.

    Dice Cheese. Cut cheese slices into small pieces and put them into a bowl.

    Add Remaining Ingredients. Put the rest of the ingredients into the same bowl.

    Microwave for 60 Seconds. Place the bowl into the microwave and cook for 1 minute on high. And stir it all together.

    Stir. Stir the queso until it is combined.

    Microwave in 60 Second Intervals. Microwave the dip for an additional minute or two more to finish melting the cheese completely. Stir until smooth.

    The trick to making smooth and creamy cheese sauce is don't let it boil or get too hot. Cheese sauce ingredients must be melted slowly and stirred frequently so that the sauce doesn't break and become grainy.

    For best results, microwave this white queso in 30-60 second increments, stirring after each increment until the cheese is melted into a smooth dip.

    Queso For Two

    Sometimes you just need a little nibble.

    • 3 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
    • 2 slices White American Cheese
    • 1 teaspoon Salted Butter
    • splash of Whole Milk, or Half and Half

    Place diced cheese, butter, and cream in a little dish and microwave for 30 seconds. Give it a good stir. It should be almost done. Microwave it for another 15 seconds and stir till smooth and you're good to go!
