    • Butter
    • Salt and Pepper
Fresh corn on the cob cleaned and stacked on a blue towel.

    Picking the Best Corn

How to tell if corn on the cob is bad?

Choosing the perfect corn on the cob is sometimes hit or miss. But there are a few tell tale signs of a bad ear of corn that should avoided:
Brown Silk Tassels - The silk tassels of a good ear of corn, which are the silky hairlike strands found between the husk and the corn, should be fresh and clean looking. Avoid brown, wilted tassels.
Soft or Mushy Kernels - Avoid soft or mushy kernels of corn, which are a sign of over-ripened corn.
Overly Plump Kernels - Avoid overly plump kernels of corn, which are a sign of over-ripened corn.

    How to Make It

This tasty recipe is super easy to make in just a few steps. You can have this easy side dish recipe on the table in around 20 minutes.
